Have you ever been in that state where you are pretty much self aware that you are you aren't able to put your mind into the stuff you must be doing because you constantly get lost in your world of thoughts and not be able to do anything about it at the same time?
If you are someone who does not meditate on a regular routine, you are more likely to face it and also more often.Anyways, this article isn't about meditation on its entirety,(I have a different one for that) but these are like small versions of it which work in a very similar way helping you to get back to the focus you'd need to get back to work.
The techniques however work on the same way meditation does and it can also be called micro meditation techniques for the similarity as meditation is better known as the activity that is done on a routine manner.
Belly Breathing.
This is also known as diaphragmatic breathing in more correct terms. When we breathe as adults,we breathe in and breathe out using the lungs.
But when you practice belly breathing, you enter a state of better consciousness. This is often practiced by singers who want to have more capacity to hit higher notes or longer notes.
Belly breathing is very easy to do.
- Sit in a straight relaxed position on your chair.
- Place one hand on the chest and the other on the stomach.
- With closed eyes, breathe in through the nose and focus filling the stomach with air by pressing on the chest.
- Breathe out through pursed lips.
Repeat it for a few times and you'll feel mentally clear enough to continue the work.
