What does meditation have to do with productivity?

Basically when I started to hear about meditation, i thought it was something over hyped or something that isn't that Legit.

Trying out new things this Quarantine time, I stumbled upon a video by the Fit Tuber YouTube channel which is a channel I'd take recommendations from when it comes to healthy eating habits and body building tips.

I've seen many YouTube thumbnails suggesting me videos of meditation. But I had this misconception that meditation is something that takes hours to compete per session. But this guy, Vivek Mittal added a 1 minute guided meditation session at the end of the video. And that made me check it out.

So as I started to get my misconceptions cleared out, I started to love this a lot and I'm doing it everyday.

Meditation as a routine.

If you noticed, many successful people claim to have meditation in their morning routine. Meditation isn't something restricted to a single faith.

Due to the positive impact of meditation on productivity levels, many IT companies have dedicated mediation rooms like the way they have the gym rooms.

Who should meditate?

Meditation can be a lot benificial to mental health and isn't something that is restricted to people only with mental illness.

I've heard claims of people calling meditation as something only for the people in depression or the short tempered people.

So the common and the most powerful meditation is the "mindfulness" meditation.

What is mindfulness meditation?

So to put in simple words, mindfulness meditation is a type of meditation where one is said to observe oneself breathe in calmness,To focus on the breathing pattern.

This is a very simple yet powerful form of meditation.

If you are totally new into this you might think why does this even have to work. So let's get into the psychology of it.

Psychology of it.

Mindfulness meditation helps to align the thoughts of the mind in a single direction. This helps to be present in the moment or to be more mindful of what's going on.

When you are more mindful of what you do, you enjoy what you do and have a greater fulfillment of everything you do. When you do this, your productivity goes up naturally.

So in this Quarantine, I'd recommend that you give it a try and let me know in the comments if you felt benefited out of it.

Stay safe and wash hands regularly.
